Background

This is the first product to be released from Andrew's new studio base in Denver, Colorado USA. However, all of the songs were written and crafted by a vast team of songwriters in the Citipointe COC church in Brisbane, Australia, Andrew's previous home for many years. Andrew decided to have a major collaborative effort for song-writing for this project, involving teams of young singers and musicians at "song-writing parties" at Andrew's home. The results were astonishing. Songs developed as a chorus from one group coupled with a verse from another, and a bridge section from another still. Contributions to lyrics, melodies and chord patterns came from many different (and surprising!) sources. The basic tracks were laid down in Brisbane, with additional musicians and singers completing the recording in Denver. The result -- Andrew's first studio album since "The Best Thing" in 2001 -- is fresh, invigorating, and eclectic.

Highlights

Watch out for the "Coldplay" influence throughout the production -- check out "I'm giving my best". There's awesome intimacy in "To worship", and powerful, roof-lifting worship in "You are my Lord". If you want to know when to do what God has called you to -- it's in the title track "Now or never", an upbeat provocation to get on with it! And as if that's not enough, you have got to hear "Be exalted", a standout song surely destined to become a classic favourite. And then there's the bonus -- nearly 7 minutes of "A capella" singing, verses and choruses and bridges, all unaccompanied, lifted from the other tracks. It's a breathtaking journey through the vocal arrangements of the CD.
