Background

This album is all about maintaining the simple, innocent first love for God. Living in a time of incredible sophistication, political correctness and self-gratification, it is so easy to get caught up in the things that make people happy. We can overlook the fact that the best thing that has ever happened and will ever happen to us is Jesus and ongoing encounters with His presence. Requests had been made for an album that wasn't so "serious", and Andrew had recognised that there was a real need in the churches for more up-tempo style songs and solid choruses that can be sung over and over. The Best Thing is the result. Working along side Andrew for this project is Steve Collom, a young and fresh producer, who has given the album a light-hearted, joyful exuberance.

Overall The Best Thing is all about helping listeners maintain their simple, innocent first love for God.
